2010 Western Iowa Synod Festival Assembly May 1-2, 2010 Sioux City Convention Center Deadline for submitting resolutions is Tuesday, March 2, 2010. Special Guest -- The Rev. Ruben Duran, Director for New Evangelizing Congregations, ELCA Evangelical Outreach and Congregational Mission Ministry Fair Saturday afternoon will include Ten Thousand Villages. The Resource Center, Clear Lake, will offer Augsburg Fortress products. Elections will include synod secretary and 2011 Churchwide Assembly voting members. Registration material -- see below.	Reminder: Each congregation may send a youth voting member along with its adult voting members. Offering: The assembly offering will be equally divided between Lutheran Services in Iowa and the Siouxland Lutheran Mission Center and Thrift Store. In addition, assembly members and guests are invited to bring non-perishable food, good used clothing and shoes, linens, and kitchen items as in-kind offerings. Laptops for the Southern Diocese: Bring your used laptops (with power cord, recovery CD's, and bag) to the Companion Synod display booth for our brothers and sisters in the Southern Diocese of Tanzania.
