Ministry Opportunities at Ingham Okoboji Lutheran Bible Camp
Okoboji Maintenance Director: Lead the important hands-on work of preparing the camp for people to meet with God. Important traits include a walk with Christ, building and maintenance knowledge and skills, industry, self-starting, ability to work well with others, organization of projects, working to completion, and satisfaction in a job done well. A team of two full-time plus volunteers and seasonal staff make up the maintenance staff, taking care of over 20 buildings and grounds, waterfront, vehicles and equipment.
Ingham Okoboji Camp Registrar: As a key organizer and communicator, the camp registrar organizes, leads and communicates about all aspects of registration for Youth Camps, Family Camps, Senior Retreats and Trips, Men’s and Women’s retreats, RECHARGE youth retreats, as well as a large group of other retreats and events. A walk with Christ, accuracy, strong communication skills, excellent keyboarding and MS Word and Excel skills, ability to learn systems quickly, organization, a cheerful demeanor, and great teamwork are essential for success in this role.
Ingham Okoboji Administrative Assistant/Communications Leader: As an assistant to the Executive Director and other staff members, the administrative assistant will keep the office organized, the records accurate and in place, and the communications clear and timely, all for the sake of Christ’s life-changing message we share at camp. Keys to success will include a walk with Christ, excellent organization, ability to learn systems quickly, strong MS Word, Excel and Publisher skills, accurate keyboarding skills, a cheerful demeanor, and a desire to work as a team.
