![]() The Call Process is a prayerful way in which the Western Iowa Synod Mission Team engages their congregations and rostered leaders — ordained ministers, associates in ministry, diaconal ministers, deaconesses — in a time of thoughtful assessment and spiritual discernment.
Members of the Mission Team will walk along with you when your congregation is without a pastor as it discerns where God is leading them and processing what gifts they are looking for in the person that God will call to be a leader in their church. We know that this can be an exciting time for your congregation, but it can also be a time that brings much angst from all in the congregation. The Western Iowa Synod Mission Team is here for you. Please feel free to call with any questions that you might have. Below and to the left are resources that will be helpful for both the call committee and the church council as you walk through this call process together. May the Holy Spirit guide and direct you through this process!!
