When: Friday, June 9th
Time: 9:30 am - approx. 2:00 pm (lunch included, but must pre-register on assembly registration form)
Where: Trinity Lutheran Church, 1122 Jackson St., Sioux City
All rostered leaders are encouraged to make their best effort to attend this event and the synod assembly!!

Rostered Ministers Gathering
Mark your calendars for Aug. 7-10, 2017, when the ELCA will host its first ever Rostered Ministers Gathering in Atlanta. This will be an opportunity for our Rostered Ministers to assemble for worship, education, and fellowship. We will gather under the theme, “On the Way ... Together,” using the Emmaus Road story (Luke 24:13-35) to guide our time together. More info here... or keep up to date via Facebook!

SAVE THE DATE! - Fall Theological Conference
The 2017 Tri-Synodical Fall Conference for rostered leaders will be held at the Sheraton, West Des Moines from September 24-26, 2017. Speakers Anna Madsen and Bishop Guy Erwin will address the: the theme “The Reformation: What’s at Stake? Then and Now.” Bishop Elizabeth Eaton will also be in attendance for a presentation and to preach and preside at the Monday evening communion service. Registration will be available on-line beginning July 1.
Other Events of Interest
Five hundred years ago this October, Martin Luther began a public conversation about God’s grace that hasn’t stopped. In honor of the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, continue the conversation at a theological event called Embodied Freedom.
Who: Pastors, laypeople, professors, students – all are welcome!
What: An interactive conference focusing on the relationship between Luther’s dynamic understanding of Christian freedom and our bodies – individual, social and global.
When: June 4-6
Where: Augsburg College, Minneapolis
Cost: $75 registration fee and $50 for students. This includes two breakfasts, one lunch and one banquet dinner. Scholarships are available on a rolling application basis.

Luther College, Decorah, Iowa - June 11-14, 2017
High school youth from ELCA congregations are invited to the Wholly Iowa Youth Leadership Discipling Event June 11-14 at Luther College in Decorah. This annual camp is designed to help high school youth learn how to become future leaders of the church. WIYLDE offers three tracks designed to give in-depth knowledge and training on a particular type of leadership. The teens will meet in small groups to discuss and put into action what they learn.
The three tracks are:
Worship Leadership — Learn the basics of Lutheran worship and liturgy and how to become a worship assistant.
Share Your Faith — Discover how to share your personal faith story in many different ways, and learn how to write and lead a Bible study.
You Can Do Ministry — Learn what your spiritual gifts are and how you can use those gifts to do ministry now and in the future. More info here!
Join us Oct. 27-28 for a Reformation Festival featuring speakers and workshops addressing key Reformation themes in theology and music.
Attend a performance on Friday evening by the National Lutheran Choir of "Holy Spirit Mass," a new choral work commissioned for the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation, at Ted Mann Concert Hall in Minneapolis. Norwegian composer Kim André Arnesen has been commissioned to write this significant new work.
On Saturday afternoon, the festival will conclude with a worship service at Central Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. Presiding Bishop Elizabeth Eaton will preach and local church choirs will sing.
