Food Resource Bank
The Western Iowa Synod and Lutheran World Relief are partnering to promote The Food Resource Bank.
The Food Resource Bank (FRB) is a grassroots response to world hunger that provides support to smallholder farmers through agricultural programs that teach new farming techniques, assist with access to land and inputs and helps overcome the local challenges smallholders face.
FRB growing projects stem from USA farmer/church/community-based efforts to share their gifts, time, resources and expertise to grow products and other things that generate funds to sponsor an international development project of their choice through trusted relief agencies like Lutheran World Relief. Travel abroad opportunities to learn of the local challenges first hand, to collaborate with others towards solutions and to see the direct outcomes of one's growing project are offered, as well as opportunities to host overseas guests to hear their stories.
For more information on FRB, got to www.foodresourcebank.org
Please contact Rev. Dr. Mike Kroona, Assistant to the Bishop, with any questions at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 712-732-4968, ext. 443 .
Collectively, let us diminish hunger in Christ-like ways! Always, there is joy in celebration - both near and afar!!
