The Evangelical Lutheran Church in Chile (IELCH): this newest relationship was officially embraced through the mutual signing of a covenant on April 28, 2012. The IELCH comprises the whole of Chile. Its synod headquarters, 4 congregations and 2 mission outreach sites are located in the capital city of Santiago, with the remaining 6 congregations, 2 mission outreach sites, and one bible camp all located to the south of Santiago—reaching to the far southern tip of Chile where you find the Straight of Magellan.

IELCH ministries include work in the areas of popular health education, schools, micro-enterprise, domestic violence and drug abuse awareness and prevention, bible camp, and disaster relief.

ELCA missionary, Ryana Holt, shares the nature and the beauty of our Chilean companions, including how we are both striving to be "the church going out into community rather than waiting for the community to come to us."
